Admiral Richard E. Byrd is the man who popularized the hollow earth theory in this modern era. Or, more accurately, it is a work attributed to him that popularized it. It's unknown whether the "diary" that documents his journey into the hollow earth truly was his or not. We may not ever be able to know for sure. If you're able to track down a copy, it's a fascinating read. Conspiracy critic has an article series covering the hollow earth conspiracy. It's a solid read in it's own right, but importantly has a page with the full diary of Admiral Byrd. If you have any interest in this theory, I cannot recommend reading the original diary any more strongly.
In the diary, he claims to have flown into a giant polar opening, so large that it seemed to be a ridge behind a mountain range instead of a cave opening. This is one of the greatest issues modern hollow earth believers have with the diary as a factual account. Most believe the older ideas of a giant opening at the north and south pole is impossible. With advancements in satellite technology - and Google Earth - the evidence against them is very steep . It would require a very large government and private company cover up to keep the polar openings a secret. The more likely explanation is that the openings to the inner hollow earth world are actually just small cave openings. Anyone who has read "A Journey to the Center of the Earth" will recognize this as being the explanation in the book.
Notably, this book doesn't involve an actual hollow earth. Instead, it focuses on a massive cave deep within the Earth that supports life. This is another more modern interpretation that is more in step with our current scientific understanding. The next post will be addressing these polar openings, so stay tuned!

Agartha
This is one part of the hollow earth theory I've never really bought into as much. It's a lot to take in. My initial perception of it doesn't have any baring on whether it's true or not, so lets explore it and see what we think. As widespread as the belief in Agartha is, no discussion of the hollow earth theory would be complete without it.
Agartha is a legendary city that exists within the hollow earth. Alternative accounts put it in a cave near the earth's core. Regardless of it's exact location, very few, if any, surface-born humans are reported to have ever visited. It's a place of perfection and wisdom. Some sites online offer conference calls to the inhabitants of Agartha. I don't know much about these sites, and I don't want to encourage their practices by linking to them. They sell their "conference calls" for obscene prices in a very thinly veiled attempt to cheat people out of their money. It's an immoral hoax, and also discredits the hollow earth theory as a plausible scientific model.
Agartha was referenced by some officials within the Catholic church some centuries ago. It's a widely-referenced factoid, and possibly the origination of the hollow earth theory. It's also popped up several other places in our world's history. Another consistent theme throughout the history of the hollow earth is the Nazi party of Germany. They have been widely reported as believers of the hollow earth, and many believe they tried to escape to the hollow earth at the end of the war. More about how this particular theory relates to Agartha can be read in a forum post here.
First post
The purpose of this blog is to chronicle the information our surface world has on the inner world described by Admiral Richard Byrd during his historic journey into the hollow earth. Little of what is on this blog can be verified absolutely. It is only by putting the information in the same place and looking for patterns that we can discern the truth. If any of you reading this have information to contribute, please, do so. I will read and respond to any comments left.
There are a lot of different beliefs on this subject, and it is a matter of much controversy which are true and which are not. As many of the different theories are conflicting, it is clear that some must not be true. Hopefully by the time a few posts are made on this blog, it will become more clear what is what.
